UPDATE: My USCIS Case Status “2 Months” Estimated Time Until Case Decision

Well, it happened. We received another update to our “estimated time until case decision.” Unfortunately for us, we were not granted qualification just yet and our estimated time went from “your case is taking longer than expected to process” to “2 Months.”

I must admit that I am not surprised and I expected our estimated time to change to a higher/longer number, however, receiving this update still feels like a hook to the liver. I must also admit that I feel rather grateful because 2 months appears to be a bargain compared to some of the other first hand accounts I have read about on these Facebook groups.

I am crossing my fingers that our estimated time remains two months as that would be a blessing and we would still be on pace for a remarkably quick US marriage green card process.
