Our Story
Joel and Jessica met on the weekend of Dia de Los Muertos in Mexico City. While both were there to experience the Mexican holiday in the motherland, Jessica was also there to celebrate her birthday. Joel met Jessica on his first night upon arrival at the rooftop bar at “Casa Pepe Boutique Hostel” where they were both staying. One year later, Joel and Jessica are husband and wife.
Joel and Jessica are applying for her marriage green card through the CR1 Spouse Visa and they will be chronicling and documenting their experience here. As there will likely be long periods of time with no update, they will also be sharing how they are preparing to start their lives together and how they are maintaining and managing their long distance relationship. They will also include their travel experiences as travel is what brought them together and keeps them going. Jessica was born and raised in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. She currently works in the aviation industry and offers image consulting services.
Joel was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where he works in the film idustry.
