UPDATE: My USCIS Case Status “YOUR CASE IS TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED TO PROCESS”

And our “myProgress” tab on our myUSCIS profile has updated just as it said it would. According to my research predominantly on those Facebook immigration groups, one of three things will occur next:

1) Our status will remain as “your case is taking longer than expected to process” for a short while and then it will get approved.

2) Our status will remain as “your case is taking longer than expected to process” for a short while and then it will be updated from anywhere between five to eleven months.

or

3) Our status will remain as “your case is taking longer than expected to process” for quite a long time (around five months) and then it will get approved.

Needless to say, we are hoping for the first option. Only time will tell.
