My USCIS case status 4 weeks estimated time until case decision

And after over a month, we have another case status update on our My USCIS Portal. Our estimated time until case decision has changed from “Your case is taking longer than expected” to “4 Weeks” again.

According to my research, this is quite common. Once your case status is at “Your case is taking longer than expected,” it either becomes approved, or it will go to a longer but more accurate estimate of time. We were not lucky enough to get immediate approval, however, I will take four weeks. It is much more common for the longer and more accurate estimate of time to be in the months.

We are crossing our fingers that we truly only have four weeks left to wait.
